Notes
Jack and the Beanstalk is a popular English fairy tale about a poor boy named Jack who trades his family's cow for magic beans. When planted, the beans grow into a giant beanstalk reaching into the sky. Jack climbs it and discovers a giant's castle, where he steals valuable items, including a golden goose and a harp. The giant chases Jack down the beanstalk, but Jack eventually cuts it down, causing the giant to fall. The story highlights themes of courage, adventure, and the consequences of greed.
