Description

"The Book of Mormon 1830-1890 (Facsimile Edition on the 150th Sesquicentennial Year)" commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Book of Mormon's publication. This facsimile edition faithfully reproduces the original 1830 text, providing readers with a glimpse into the early days of Mormonism and the cultural context of 19th-century America. It serves as a valuable historical document, offering insights into the religious and literary significance of the Book of Mormon and its enduring impact on both believers and scholars alike.

Notes

This facsimile edition matches as closely as possible the paper and binding of that first edition. Because methods of making paper, binding materials and inks have changed, and because producrion techniques have been greatly improved, the book cannot be an exact reproduction.  It is, however, as close as modern printing technology can make it.  The type itself will be reproduced from a first edition copy of the Book of Mormon and will be authentic in every detail.

The publishing of this great book in facsimile of how it first appeared in 1830 is Deseret Book's way of preserving this priceless portion of our LDS heritage.
