B, Hebrew Bible. Printed by Christophe Plantin, in Antwerp, Belgium. 8vo.
Notes
On the outside of the Greek text is various Hebrew words and letters. A few examples include:
The title page of the Bible is of the 1525 bible printed by Daniel Bomberg. This differs from the original title page, showing that it is a reprint by Plantin. In the 1566 print, a “א” (Hebrew A) appears on the top left corner. The “Plantin” written on the title is unidentifiable, but doesn’t match Plantin’s signature.
The note under the title, is a statement that the text was compiled after a study of the manuscripts.
Includes a handwritten note: “the ode of Moses” Exodus
the handwritten note is the title of Exodus 15:1-18. This page (front & back) is a personal translation of Exodus 15:1-18 from Hebrew to Greek by C. Isherwood done on 2 June
