Notes
"Don Quijote," also known as "Don Quixote," is a novel written by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. First published in two parts in 1605 and 1615, it is considered one of the greatest works of fiction ever written. The story follows the adventures of Alonso Quixano, a nobleman who, after reading many chivalric romances, loses his sanity and decides to become a knight-errant named Don Quixote. Accompanied by his loyal squire, Sancho Panza, Don Quixote embarks on a series of misadventures, fighting windmills he believes to be giants and mistaking inns for castles. The novel is a satirical exploration of idealism versus reality and has had a profound influence on literature and popular culture.
