Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert is the second book in the Dune series. It picks up twelve years after Dune, following Paul Atreides, now known as Emperor Muad’Dib, as he struggles with the consequences of his rise to power. Surrounded by political intrigue and betrayal, he faces enemies on all sides, including from within his own circle. The novel explores themes of power, destiny, and the burdens of leadership, as Paul grapples with visions of a dark future for humanity.
