Description

Handcuff tricks are escape stunts commonly used by magicians and illusionists to demonstrate dexterity, misdirection, and knowledge of lock mechanisms. These tricks often involve escaping from police-style handcuffs or other restraints, sometimes under dramatic conditions like underwater or in front of a live audience. Performers may use sleight of hand, hidden keys, specially altered cuffs, or knowledge of how standard locks function to achieve their escape. Handcuff tricks have been popularized by legendary escape artists like Harry Houdini and continue to be a staple in modern magic performances.
