Jaws by Peter Benchley, published in 1974, is a thriller novel about a great white shark that terrorizes the small coastal town of Amity Island. The story follows three men—police chief Martin Brody, marine biologist Matt Hooper, and shark hunter Quint—as they team up to hunt down the deadly shark. The novel explores themes of fear, human nature, and the conflict between commercial interests and public safety. Red canvas hardcover with gold lettering on the spine and black and white illustrated dust jacket with the title in red. Faded brown spots of discoloration along the fore edge but do not bleed onto the pages. Original dust jacket in pristine condition and book is in excellent condition overall.
