The Millennial Star was a periodical published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1840 to 1871. It was one of the first official church publications and played a significant role in disseminating church teachings and news among early Latter-day Saints. There is a range of content relevant to the LDS Church during that time included such as Church News and Announcements, Editorials and Sermons, Theological Essays, Missionary Reports, and Historical Articles reflecting the ongoing development of the church’s teachings and organization during a period of growth and expansion.

Description

Dark brown textured leather with embossed design around the perimeter. Four raised bands, gold embossed lettering and designs on the spine, and red marbled fore edges. Leather along edges and the spine are worn down to a caramel color and cracking along the spine. Back cover is beginning to separate from the binding. Good condition overall.
