-Pinocchio*
r, 1939, Walt Disney, 1st edition
Quote
"When you're a child, you always dream of being a grownup; but when you're a grownup, you always want to be a child again."
Notes
"In that very instant, the Fairy, as lovely as ever, appeared in her golden dress beside him. She had a stern look on her face as she spoke to Pinocchio. 'Wretched boy! Falsehood is written on your face. You are lying!' Pinocchio, his nose growing longer with each word he spoke, tried to deny his deceit, but it was impossible. The Fairy's eyes seemed to pierce through him. 'Why do you lie?' she asked. 'I am not lying,' said Pinocchio, but his nose had grown so long that he couldn't even see the end of it."
