Bound in smooth, red leather, raised bands, green leather in title section of spine, red and green sewn endbands, marbled paste downs/end papers, gold & red edged textblock (different color based on angle), gold tooled emblem on front with lion and banner inside a circle and gold around edges of cover,  gold titling and decorations on spine, and on inside edges of cover, pictorial illustration of Tennyson at front

Condition

Leather on spine slightly sun bleached, worn at corners, along head and tail of spine, on some raised bands, and some cover edges, a few dents on front and back, a discolored area on back, with minimal scratches otherwise, some threads worn away from headband, inside gutters of both front & back cover seem to be opening a bit, textblock, intact with minimal wear.
