Quarto Illustrated Geneva Bible
Quarto Illustrated Geneva Bible
5B Geneva, Robert Barker London, 1615
Notes
This is the last year illustrated quarto Geneva Bibles were printed in England. King James would ban the English printing of the Geneva Bible in 1616. This ban led to the clandestine importations of Geneva Bibles from Europe by the 1630s to meet the ever-growing demand for them throughout England. Includes 18th century familial records of the Muir family on verso of final leaf of Job and Malachi.
