Description

The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter-day Saint movement, first published in 1830 by Joseph Smith. It is considered by followers to be another testament of Jesus Christ, complementing the Bible. The book tells the story of ancient civilizations in the Americas, their interactions with God, and the visit of Jesus Christ after His resurrection. It is regarded by believers as a divinely inspired record, translated by Smith from golden plates revealed to him by an angel named Moroni.
