Note
The Lorax by Dr. Seuss
The story follows the Once-ler, a businessman who exploits the natural resources of a pristine forest to produce a product called the Thneed, which leads to the depletion of the Truffula trees and the destruction of the ecosystem. The Lorax, a small, wise creature who "speaks for the trees," tries to warn the Once-ler about the dangers of greed and overconsumption, but his efforts are ignored. Ultimately, the forest is ruined, and the Lorax departs, leaving behind only a simple message: "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." The book serves as a timeless reminder of taking responsibility for the impact we have on the world around us.
