This rare first edition set of The Lord of the Rings includes all three volumes, published by George Allen & Unwin between 1965 and 1966. The set consists of The Fellowship of the Ring (15th printing, 1966), The Two Towers (12th printing, 1966), and The Return of the King (11th printing, 1965). Bound in matching red cloth with gilt titles on the spine, all three volumes are in great condition with some slight fading and wear to the spine top and bottom edges of the first book; edges on other books are near pristine. Pages are clean and free of marks, with fold-out maps of Middle-earth intact at the rear of each book. Set includes facsimile dust jackets.
