Notes

The Silver Chair, the sixth book in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia series (fourth in publication order), follows the journey of Eustace Scrubb and his classmate Jill Pole as they are called into Narnia by Aslan to rescue Prince Rilian, the lost son of King Caspian. Guided by a gloomy but loyal Marsh-wiggle named Puddleglum, the children venture into the wild north of Narnia and the dark Underworld, facing treacherous terrain, enchantments, and the sinister Lady of the Green Kirtle. Throughout the quest, they struggle to follow the signs given by Aslan, learning lessons of faith, perseverance, and trust. The Silver Chair is a darker, more introspective tale in the series, emphasizing spiritual growth and the importance of remembering and obeying truth in a world full of deception.
