Description

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900), the first book in L. Frank Baum’s famous Oz series, tells the story of Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas who is swept away by a cyclone to the magical Land of Oz. With her little dog Toto, she journeys along the Yellow Brick Road to seek help from the mysterious Wizard in the Emerald City. Along the way, she befriends the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion, each seeking something they lack. Together, they face challenges, defeat the Wicked Witch of the West, and ultimately discover that courage, heart, wisdom, and the way home were within them all along.
